Oats, native to Central Europe are an important cereal of the temperate zones. Jumbo oats are oat groats, rolled flat, partially precooked in steam. Use their creamy taste in a coarse porridge, baked into biscuits, flapjacks and crumbles or use raw in muesli. Toast in oil and malt extract for ‘granola’.
